Description
This is a bittersweet duet for flute and guitar in a jaunty 6/8 time but
which continually varies from major to minor.
It was originally an "ecology song", which I wrote in 1976, but the words simply didn't work, so this year I made it into an instrumental.
Discussions with various flautists finally led to this preferred title
("Last picnic at Blue Lake" and the French equivalent "Dernier Pique-Nique au Lac Bleu")
