Nationalhymne von Rheinbergen - National Anthem of Rheinbergen
Performances by Budapest Scoring of a new National Anthem for a new micronation - very grand.

Nationalhymne von Rheinbergen (National anthem of Rheinbergen) version for harmonized choir and orchestra

Please see the Rheinbergen Page for links to all the audio and video versions (choral, orchestral and solo voice) and to the scores and parts.

This is the national anthem for the micronation of Rheinbergen (the length of the river Rhine).

The text was written by Gerard, Fürst von und zu Rheinbergen in collaboration with Rheinbergen's Court Composer David Warin Solomons, who wrote the music.

It is very grand and rousing music with just a little pomposity.

The performance here is by the Budapest Scoring Orchestra and Choir under Zoltán Pad (for the orchestra) and Péter Illenyi (for the choir)

The words are:

Die Quelle von Rheinbergen liegt in den Alpen hoch

Der Prinz von Fluß und Wellen stammt aus dem Delta-Schoß

(The source of Rheinbergen lies high up in the Alps

The Prince of river and waves stems from the lap of the Delta.)

Das Licht auf uns'ren Wässern leuchtet hell und klar

So strahlen uns're Augen aus Herzens Stolz fürwahr.

(The lights on our waters shine bright and clear

Like our eyes shining from our proud hearts.)

Lass den Gesang dem Fluss zulieb in allen Ländern wehen

Zusammen sind wir wie der Strom dem keine widerstehen.

(Let songs of love for our river wave over all nations

Together we are like the stream that none can resist.)

Rheinbergen ist doch eine Stadt und kein Staat. Warum dann Nationalhymne?
