Description
A reflection for guitar solo composed while staying in one
of the "troglodyte" dwellings in Matmata, Tunisia.
The title "De Profundis" (= out of the depths) relates not only to
the physical "underground" nature of the place but also
to more personal feelings.
The style is melodic and should be performed with great intensity.
The piece also contains very brief references to popular Tunisian songs
of the time (1970s), especially those sung by Hedi Habbouba.
