Description
A jocular piece for orchestra inspired by Ogden Nash's poem "The Sniffle"

The brave little girl Isabel who has a cold, blows her nose violently at the beginning and the instruments glissando and parp their way comically throughout the piece, going into a dance routine as she bravely skips and jumps while other girls with colds just moan and look like "a rained on waffle".
The zip file contains the score and parts: the orchestra comprise:
2 flutes, 2 clarinets, 1 bass clarinet, 3 trumpets, 2 trombones, piano, violins I and II, violas, cellos and double basses. The strings occasionally play divisi.
